Writing again

So it's been long since I last visited this page, I have not abandoned it, not at all. I've just been busy with writing at YourQuote. In and Geulgram and sharing them on my Whats App and Instagram. I've also been busy with computer science, yeah it's tiring but everything will be fine eventually.

So today I actually started reading a few chapters of Michelle Obama's book Becoming  and I was thinking that one day, I'll also tell a story. I mean we all will, we'll proudly talk about the struggles, the failures and then of course the successes, the GRACE behind our story. I just wanna urge you to keep pushing and work hard, live the best version of yourself. Something big is gonna come your way, embrace the happy moments and troubling times, they all make up the story. Remember, life can't be an ice cream although it wouldn't be bad if it did. I don't wanna talk too much today but imma tell you what I read today from Ecclesiastes 7: 14, when things are going on well be glad, when trouble comes remember that God sends both happiness and trouble you never know what is going to happen next.

JOTIVATIONAL

As you grow up and get to understand why God put you in this world, you'll realize that discipline is a very important element in life. Without discipline you'll do the right things at the wrong time because at the appropriate time you didn't do it. You have to know that no matter who you are, wherever you find yourself right now, whatever family or tribe you belong to, everything you need to survive this life and fulfill that purpose God has for you is all around you. But you can't see it because you might be magnifying the future too much or being intimidated by the things you've done in the past. One thing you're failing to recognize is your today, the gift that God has given you, the 86 400 seconds God has deposited into your life account. What is holding you back? What is wrong with you? What can you do? What do you want? All those answers to these questions are nowhere but in your heart. God speaks to you everyday in diverse ways. He gives you answers to every question you ask but maybe you don't realize it or you fail to appreciate it. God has put you in charge of yourself, you're responsible for everything that happens to you. You have no right to blame anyone for what goes on in your life. You're the captain of your soul, master of your fate. I want you to take charge of your today now, forget about your past, don't worry about your future. God has a plan for you, He knows your future. It's fine to have a plan for the future but make sure if something is to be done today, it is done. Let God's will always be done in your life. There are many truths about life, stop living in those lies that everyone likes you or your past has a huge impact on your future or God has forgotten about you. None of these lies are true unless you make them true and you'll be disappointed with the outcome. You give to the world, the world will find a way of giving back to you. Don't live life thinking only about yourself because when you walk the road of purpose you'll know that your life is not just about you but about God and other people. It takes time to learn all these, you're gonna make mistakes, you'll fall, you'll fail, you'll be broken but the most important thing is you rise again, you stand on your feet again. When something is not going on as expected, push through, give it your all, it may lead to your dream. If it doesn't, don't be afraid to start something new. Try everything, it'll help you know what you're good at and what you're not. Brand yourself, set a standard for yourself, aim higher, you can do better than you're doing now. You're fearfully and wonderfully made. You're fully loaded, make sure you release all the good in you. Life is precious and sweet, it's extraordinary. Don't live under regrets. Remember you need discipline and you need GOD.

Truly Yours

"I am the MASTER of MY FATE, CAPTAIN of MY SOUL". There is nothing or nobody in this world that has to stop you from being who you've been made to be or who you're supposed to be. Sometimes those things or people include yourself, I mean your other self which seems so lazy and complacent. There's always a part of us that wants to grow, that wants to fulfill a purpose and until that is done you'll never feel comfortable with yourself. Paulo Coehlo said in his book The Alchemist that, "When someone sees the same people every day, they wind up becoming a part of that persons's life. And then they want the person to change. If someone isn't what others want them to be, the others become angry. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives but none about his/her own". This is to say that there is a greater probability that the people around you may influence you to be who you're not or they can underestimate who you are or they can bring out the best in you. Stay true to yourself, not always will advice from people or people's opinions be of help to you. The real answers lie in our hearts. If only we could hear our hearts speak, we'll be much happier than we are now. Learn to live your own life, direct your ship, because you're the CAPTAIN of your soul and it's truly yours.

READERS ARE LEADERS

I found this written in my Class Prefect's diary, well I was her assistant so we were that close. " Read the best books while you're young and then, someday, when you're old you'll write great books of your own".One thing most people in our generation hate is reading. Despite the fact that we sit behind computers and our phones to text people or have long chats, the spirit of reading has still not been inculcated in some of us. Some of us still feel reading is a punishment. We hardly read over what we type and end up making mistakes and embarrassing ourselves especially when you're chatting with a crush or someone you wanna impress( Gosh! I know that feeling). I remember during the Leadership Diary Training Programme how I use to complain about the biographies I had to read. But then at the end of the programme I had read about 12 personalities and that wasn't enough. Oh! I also read about the Iron Lady( Margaret Thatcher) making 13 personalities.

If you are complaining about reading a 30 pages book then hmm! you have a problem or you can't read just an article on wikihow or even those long whatsapp messages or even finding it difficult to read this  then I'm sorry for you. If you can't spend some time too reading your BIBLE then sweetheart you're lost. One thing you might have not realized is that those who are reading not just reading anything but reading the best books are one step ahead of you or even miles ahead of you. But don't worry, we can catch up with them and even be ahead of them. Leaders they say are not born but built. If your believe you're a leader then you got to be a reader. You have to read for intellectual growth , to acquire new information, to have fellowship with great minds. I bet you that if you start reading your BIBLE daily from now, you'll unconsciously walk out from some things you got trapped in, your problems.

You got to empty your pocket into your head and not into your stomach. If you don't have enough money for books you can always borrow good books from your friend or even the Library. You gotta immerse yourself in books that equip  you for higher service. Spend half an hour each day reading a book that feed the soul and stimulate the mind. Go and find out, rich people like Bill Gates and the likes still spend time reading. My grandma still reads. It was when I started reading again in High School around second year third term that I realized that the change in the reader is internal and not external.  I read a lot of books back in school and I could only write down the titles of just 17 of them.

These books have unconsciously had impact in my life. After reading these books and more I've being inspired to write and that's why I'm sitting behind the keyboard right now. I'm not really good with typing fast but I'm trying...LOL! When I completed school, the following week my friend, Sandra asked me to go with her to buy books to read. I felt it wasn't necessary because after all we were done with school and for the next three months you gotta have fun. But there's nothing as fun as being clinged to As a man thinketh by James Allen or A girl's viewpoint by Zac Poonen or Mary Kay Ash's biography titled Mary Kay. I tell you, it's not easy being a reader but know that with constant practice you become a master reader. I'm also not saying go start reading a 300 plus pages books, the number of pages will scare you. Read something small each day...It can be one verse from the BIBLE or just a page of that book that has collected dust on your shelf. Read notice, magazines, read, just READ. I'm glad that a friend, Godfred said he's gonna start reading. My article didn't influence him though but I'm glad he made that decision. You can also take that decision, like now.

READERS ARE LEADERS, LEADERS ARE READERS.
Good luck on the reading journey. I pray that God strengthens us to be great readers especially of His Word. But not just readers, we're gonna WALK THE TALK we read.

RUN OUT

"Life is a tragedy, but it's also sweet and precious, extraordinary".

Take a look at your life now, what's wrong? Okay let's revisit your life 5 years ago, what was wrong? Let's time-travel into the future, what can go wrong?  Well, the first two questions can be answered now but the last one, you totally have no answer to it. Do you sometimes wonder why you fail or get frustrated and depressed or disappointed or even why sometimes you're so afraid? If you haven't then, you gotta think of these things but sweetheart I said think about them don't worry about them. How do you feel now? Sad? Happy? Worried? Angry? Bored? Hungry? Sick? Tired? Frustrated?  Whatever you're feeling now, you have to know that it doesn't last forever. There's a time for everything as said in Ecclesiastes 3: 1. If you're happy now, know that one day or even the next moment you can be sad. If you're sick now one day you'll be healthy. The time these things are gonna happen are sometimes unpredictable. The time between failure and success or between sadness and happiness or between sickness and health, lies what we call hope. As long as there is life, there's always hope. So what do you have to do? DON'T GIVE UP!!!! YES!!! that's it. Life situations are not permanent....you'll be surprised to learn that you walk out of situations daily. Your life is not a mistake so don't be intimidated to yawn at your life. Learn to walk out of situations, don't convince yourself that you're stuck in situations.

This just came up and I wanna share with you. Remember, in life not everyone likes you and you also don't like everyone. Fair play right? But some of us have taken it upon ourselves to find out who likes us and who doesn't. This might sound ridiculous but lemme say this to you, it's not important. Look, let the so-called haters hate, after all you're not in this world for them. Your duty is to keep on running the race. Try as much as possible to stay focused in the race. Don't let people pull you back, if they manage to bring you down, pull yourself up and rise to a better place than you were before. Don't also think of changing for anyone, the only person that the change matters to is yourself so do it because you want it. Go out there and just be yourself. Learn from people's mistakes so you don't make those mistakes too. Live life to the fullest, enjoying every moment of it because God wants you to have it. Don't forget that you need to constantly connect with your Creator constantly. He's your life coach and remember you gotta read His Manual to you.

Get out there and run, run the race, reach for the Heavenly price. I leave you with something I read from the Book SELF-SEDUCTION by MIKKI TAYLOR.

"Life is what the Creator gave you for free, Style is what you do with it".

ROAD TO PURPOSE

Throughout the month of June, I went for the LEADERSHIP DIARY TRAINING PROGRAM (LDTP), well it wasn't daily just Tuesdays and Thursdays and it got me too busy. There were assignments, community service, teamwork and other stuff which are time-consuming but it was worth sacrificing that time I had. The biographies we read, the books( As a man thinketh by James Allen and A girl's viewpoint by Zac Poonen), the numerous talks by inspirational and motivational people like Dr. Olivia Agbenyega, Moses Baffour Awuah(Chief, my muse), Arthur Nunu Amoah, Dr. Kwadwo Owusu Akuffo, Mrs. Theodora Oduro, Mrs. Rita Gyawu, the people I met, the counsellors, the list goes on and on and I wanna dedicate this article to all of them.
They brought my mind to the understanding of Jeremiah 1: 5 which says that "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart, I appointed you as prophet to the nations". This means we are all here for a purpose and we need to make it our sole priority to fulfill that purpose before we return to our heavenly place.

Okay, this is the second time I'm gonna mention about Mary Kay in my article. Well it's because I'm reading her autobiography but at a slow pace. I've taken weeks but I'm at page 71 but I know I'm gonna finish not now but later. Reading is not easy but gradually you'll like it and it will become your habit.

According to the book Mary Kay by Mary Kay Ash, there are specifically four kinds of people in the world:

1. Those who make things happen

I call them the makers and engineers of life. They cause things to come into existence and I believe I am a part of these people.

2. Those who watch things happen

These are the admirers, they sit at the sideline and tell us how beautiful things are. Trust me, without them nothing seem important because they bring out the wow-factor in everything.

3. Those who wonder what happened

I cannot really tell if these people are the dreamers, still drowning in their sleep or perhaps dreamland is such a nice place to be. The truth is, there is still some sleep in their eyes and they keeping asking whether everything is real.

4. Those who don't know that anything happened

Well, for these kind of people, will it be harsh to say they are lost? Absolutely not, because that is the truth. They are completely lost, blinded by situations and just tossed around by the winds of life.

For those who are ready to sacrifice everything to find their purpose in life, the decisions you make consciously and unconsciously may put you into one of these categories. But remember that this is just the road to your purpose, and until you find yourself among those in the first category, purpose has not been reached yet. Do not forget to embrace each of the other three stages when you get there because it is a process and you do not want to miss the steps. Sometimes you will be lost, other times you will be dreaming and you may also find yourself just admiring but our ultimate goal is to make things happen right? GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY, FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELT AND OH! WHEN YOU SEEM LOST, ASK THE CREATOR, CHECK HIS MANUAL (BIBLE).

It's not an easy road, you can do it but at a point you'll need someone to help you, someone to believe you can, you can't spend your time looking for that someone. But you can pray to God to bring your helpers to you, also try to be someone's helper because I know it is in putting smiles on people's faces that you get smiles on your face too. Don't judge people based on appearance or status because your helper can be that poor man at church, or the lady who annoyed you the last time or that person you met for the first time and you were rude to. Be Humble and good things will come your way.

MAKEUP OR NOT

It took a long time to do more research and conduct interviews before I published this article with my friend even though he had total misconception about this topic. I tried to convince him but it felt like I was brainwashing him and he is really hard to convince. But this article is not for him but for every lady in this universe who wants to be able to make her own decisions and not be discouraged by what people say. Some way along the line this article is for the men too and you will only find out why, when you read. I just hope this article will save a soul and touch a heart.

You might have heard of Mary Kay because you are a lady and you may be using her products or your mother or sister owes a makeup kit full of her products. Well it is also fine if you are wondering who that is. Have you ever wondered why people wear makeup? Or asked yourself why you wear makeup or perhaps why you don't wear it either? Let me try answering the questions, apparently some people wear makeup to make them a beauty and cover some blemishes on their face. Others believe they gotta stay natural or their mother never wore makeup so why should they. Sometimes I'm sad because I never got to play with makeup as kid but now I know how to apply basic mascara and lipstick which you'll hardly see me wearing. I've not tried using a moisturizer or primer or concealer or foundation or eyebrow pomade, some of these things I have no idea what they are for. But I know I'll be using them one day maybe on my wedding day....LOL! Okay so why would I wake up one day and wanna write an article about makeup? That's because the use of makeup is misunderstood by people. Why will a guy say wearing makeup is bad and that if a lady has makeup on she's only deceiving guys? Or if you are in makeup that means you are ugly or you are not a natural girl? But some guys too wouldn't mind if their girlfriends or wives put on makeup just that they shouldn't overdo it. But sweetheart, it's not about what they think or what they say or how they feel, it's about you doing what you wanna do and why you do what you do. At this point I want you to be confident about whatever decision that you take and ask yourself why you made those decisions, especially when it comes to beauty. If you wanna go in for makeup go for it dear but make sure you are keeping it simple. Don't overdo it because you are slay queen because you will end up wearing a face mask covering your real face instead of enhancing your beauty. If you don't want that too then please take care of your skin especially your face. Be really particular about the kind of products you go in for, ask questions about how they are used and what benefit they'll be to you. Remember God made you unique, you are special. Be yourself and love who are now. If you are wearing makeup or something then you know it's because you made that choice and not because your boyfriend or husband wanna see you in makeup. If you are also going without that's a choice you made. Remember to always keep everything SIMPLE.

Writing again

So it's been long since I last visited this page, I have not abandoned it, not at all. I've just been busy with writing at YourQuote...
